GENERAL ROBERT E LEE is printed under the decal of this important Civil War General. This 8" plate has a yellow background and a silver line around the decal picture about an inch from the edge. It is unmarked, but we have authenticated these plates as being early production pieces at Southern Pottery. The plate is in good condition for its age. There is a small area of roughness on the rim, a knick on the back rim and some crazing-mostly on the back. We also have a smaller 6 1/2" plate that is identical to this one except the silver line is closer to the edge of the plate. If you are interested, please email us.
